Having had the £450 door mirror replaced under extended warranty a couple of week ago, a new fault has developed. 60mph, the warning sounds and up flashes the Engine Fault notification, followed by the warning sound once more and the Emissions Control Fault notification comes up. The engine management light is on as is the Urea and Service lights.
No drive at all but engine fine. Vehicle recovered to local Citroen garage. They have not been able to diagnose the problem (5 days now) and are currently stripping the wiring loom to look for shorts. I'm paying loads of cash for this diagnostic work and see no sign of a conclusion. Anyone have similar fault and any subsequent diagnosis? The fault for the blue hdi lies in the venting cap of the urea tank. The original design did not vent properly, meaning that as the urea tank empties a vacuum is created in the tank. The urea pump and sensor then has to work much harder to pump urea and eventually it fails prematurely. Citroen and Peugeot replaced all the caps with a new design
